Will planning is one of the most important steps you can take to protect your loved ones and ensure your wishes are carried out. A well-prepared will provides clarity, minimises disputes, and gives you peace of mind knowing your assets will be distributed according to your intentions, not a government formula.
A testamentary trust is a trust created within a will that comes into effect after your passing. In Australia, it helps protect assets, provides tax advantages, and ensures your beneficiaries, including minors or those with special needs, are financially supported according to your wishes while offering flexibility and control over distributions.
A disability trust is a special type of trust designed to provide financial support for individuals with disabilities without affecting their eligibility for government benefits. It ensures long-term financial security, helps manage funds responsibly, and provides peace of mind that their future care and well-being are safeguarded according to your wishes.
An Advance Health Directive is a legal document that outlines your healthcare preferences in case you’re unable to make decisions yourself. It provides clear instructions on treatments you do or don’t want, ensuring your wishes are respected and giving peace of mind to both you and your loved ones.
Guardianship applications allow you to legally appoint a trusted person to make important personal, medical, and lifestyle decisions on behalf of someone unable to do so themselves. At Lever Law, we guide you through the process with care and expertise, ensuring your loved one’s best interests are protected.
At Lever Law, our experienced team is well-equipped to handle complex estate matters, from intricate asset structures to family disputes and legal challenges. We provide clear, strategic guidance, ensuring your estate is managed effectively and in accordance with your wishes, giving you confidence and peace of mind.
Wills start from $660 excluding GST per person, depending on how simple or complex your Will. For the cost – it’s simply not worth the risk to die without one.
Every adult should at the very minimum have a current Will and Enduring Power of Attorney.
People often work a lifetime to accumulate assets, yet don’t have a valid Will to show their loved ones how those assets are to be distributed upon their death. The result is – your assets being distributed according to a formula decided by the Queensland Government which is both costly and can often have unintended results.
